The Shrimps Trust would like to express its concerns following separate press releases from the Morecambe FC board of directors and Graham Burnard (G50 Holdings Ltd), which indicate that the sale of the club to an unknown interested party could be imminent. This unexpected development contradicts statements that were previously made by the club and Mr Burnard at a recent Fans’ Forum after the club’s AGM.

The Trust is actively seeking clarification on the current situation, and will communicate this to all Trust members and the wider supporter base as and when this information becomes available.

The committee would like to reiterate the vision of the Trust – ‘To help, maintain and support the presence of an outstanding, sustainable and modern professional football club in the town of Morecambe’ – and encourage all supporters who have not yet joined the Trust to do so.
