Data Privacy Policy and Safeguarding Your Data

Securing and protecting the privacy of our members’ information is of paramount importance to us.

Each year we gather fresh information for each member joining or renewing their membership by asking them to fill out a membership form.

We store the contact details from the form in a secure web-based CRM system so that we can contact members when we need to (e.g with a query about membership or when they win a prize in our monthly prize draw).

We store the name, email address and membership number on a secure web-based email marketing system so that we can email our newsletters to those members who have opted in to receive email updates. Members may opt out of receiving emails and may also unsubscribe from the mailing list at any time.

We store the remaining data items on the membership form to an Excel spreadsheet, securely stored and made available only to the Trust Board.

Information for any member who does not renew their membership during the subscription year is retained until the end of the subscription year to give them the opportunity to renew and is then entirely and permanently deleted.

In keeping with the EU’s General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) any member may at any time request a copy of all information held about him/her by the Trust, may request correction of their information, or may request that we delete all their data. These requests may be submitted via email to shrimpstrustmembership@gmail.com or in person to the Shrimps Trust desk at the Globe Arena on match days.
