Jason Townson – Trustee Application

  • On August 2, 2022

Having grown up in Lancaster, during my school days I had a newspaper round which secured my entertainment on Saturdays down at Christie Park. After completing an apprentice in Bricklaying, I moved swiftly on and joined the Army were I still followed the club from afar, still visiting them when returning home on leave.  I’ve now been a fan for over 30 years.

Since leaving the Regular Army in 2015 I have supported the club Home and Away religiously for over the last 6 years.

Having served a full career in the Regular Army I am accustomed to working in arduous conditions and comfortable working to tight deadlines and targets. I consider myself to be an enthusiastic, motivated and experienced leader with proven skills in planning, motivating and developing my team whilst working towards my higher commanders’ intent.

A natural leader and a team player who is flexible and approachable possessing excellent interpersonal, presentational and communication skills.

I take great pride in bringing my family to games which brings our family together in this unique Family club.  They also have witnessed the highs and the lows! hopefully they get as much enjoyment from supporting the club as I have over the years. I’ve been involved, with many voluntary tasks for the Club and Trust. May have seen me on awaydays driving duties for the Sardines.

If elected as a trustee, I believe that I have all the attributes required. More importantly I am very excited for an opportunity to an area that I enjoy, find rewarding and can add value.

My hometown is Morecambe, I have been married to Tracy for 27 years and together we have 3 children. My hobbies include walking, reading, supporting Morecambe Football club but best of all is spending time and having fun with my family.
