There are now 380 members of the Trust, many of whom are based locally and attend games regularly (sign-up data indicates that 73.2% of members attend 10 or more home games a season). We also have members based across the UK, and around the ‘Globe’. If you thought Bury St. Edmunds and St Albans were far flung places for Shrimps fans to be based, think again. Shrimps Trust is truly international, with members from Beijing to Seattle as highlighted on our International Members Map.

In total there are currently 13 overseas members, 3 based in China and the rest in parts of North America – something we didn’t envisage when the Trust was launched. This was highlighted recently when Travis Haselswerdt from Ohio (USA) won the Pizza Time Teatime Special in the members prize draw – unfortunately this prize is collection only.

Being based overseas makes our members no less involved or active with the Trust. An example of this occurred at the start of the 2017/18 season when a member based in Florida responded to a monthly member mailout with a generous donation towards GPS heart monitors – equipment that the club desperately needed and were able to purchase thanks to the Shrimps Trust membership.

The Trust will be running a competition for members over the summer. Simply send us a holiday snap with your name featuring yourself with an official Morecambe FC beach towel and/or Morecambe shirt along with your name and location, for your chance to win a 2018/19 Morecambe FC shirt. Entries must be submitted to shrimpstrust@gmail.com by 30/09/2018 and include your membership number.
